Dr. Sajatovic is Professor of Psychiatry and of Neurology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She is a researcher, educator, and clinician with a special interest in mental health issues related to aging. Dr. Sajatovic holds the Willard Brown Chair in Neurological Outcomes and the L. Douglas Lenkoski Professorship in Psychiatry. She has over 400 peer-reviewed publications, has received research funding from multiple international and national organizations as well as the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the U.S. National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), Junior and Senior Investigator Awards from the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) and the Mogens Schou Award for Research from the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD). |

Dr Zahinoor Ismail is a Clinician Scientist and Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Medicine & Pathology at the Hotchkiss Brain Institute and O’Brien Institute for Public Health, at the University of Calgary. He has certification in Behavioural Neurology & Neuropsychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry, and has 25 years of clinical experience. His research includes: i) rating scale development and measurement-based care; ii) nosology and nomenclature for brain and mental health disorders; iii) non-cognitive markers of dementia; iv) neuroimaging and biomarker studies; v) observational cohorts of brain aging; and vi) clinical trials. He is funded by Brain Canada, the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging, and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and has published over 300 papers. Dr. Ismail is Chair of the Canadian Conference on Dementia, and of the National Dementia Guideline Group. In 2023, Dr. Ismail was appointed by the Federal Minister of Health to serve as Co-Chair of the Government of Canada Ministerial Advisory Board for Dementia. |
